Hoi An is about 15 km and 18 minutes shorter than Da Nang. The Da Nang – Quang Ngai expressway is 139.204 km long and opened in 2018; according to VietnamPlus on 16 December 2018, the Chu Lai interchange at km 82+990 serves Chu Lai Airport.
