The Vinh Moc Tunnels, in Vinh Linh (Quang Tri), are ranked a special national historic site under Decision 2408/QD-TTg of 31 December 2014. They were dug to shelter from bombing and to support Con Co Island, and villagers lived in them for nearly 2,000 days and nights. Because the site is tied to memories of war, plan the visit without hurrying.

Distance and opening hours decide the schedule
The rate table lists Da Nang or Hoi An to the Vinh Moc Tunnels at about 200 km and 3.8 hours each way, so about 7.6 hours in the car in both directions. According to the Quang Tri tourism website (checked on 30 September 2026), the tunnels are open from 07:00 to 18:00.
An illustration, not a fixed schedule: leave at 06:00 and you arrive around 09:50; stay about 3 hours including lunch, leave at 13:00 and you are back in Da Nang around 17:00. Stay longer or stop more often and the return slides into the evening.
A day trip or a night in Quang Tri
