Linh Ung Pagoda (Bai But) is on the Son Tra Peninsula, Da Nang. Its Quan The Am statue is 67 m tall on a lotus base 35 m across; the pagoda grounds cover about 20 ha, work began in 2004 and it was completed in 2010 (Tuoi Tre newspaper, 12 April 2025). It is a place of worship, so plan the visit without hurrying.
Telling the Linh Ung pagodas apart
According to some travel sources, Da Nang has several pagodas called Linh Ung, including the one on Son Tra (Bai But), the one inside the Marble Mountains and one on Ba Na Hills. When you send a request, write “Linh Ung Pagoda Bai But, Son Tra” so the car goes to the right place; the pagoda inside the Marble Mountains is on the way up Thuy Son and is a different stop.
Dress and conduct
Dress modestly, keep quiet and follow the guidance at the pagoda about which areas you may enter and how to take photos. Opening hours, entry rules and parking are set by the pagoda and can change; this guide states no specific hours, so check on site or through the official channel before you go.
