Half-Day Private Tour of Son Tra and the Marble Mountains: Ordering by the Group's Stamina

The Da Nang – Linh Ung – Non Nuoc programme in the rate table lasts half a day, about 4–5 hours. In that time the two main stops are Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula and the Marble Mountains, each with a different amount of walking and stone steps, so the order you go in and the stamina of the group matter more than the number of stops.

First stop: Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra

Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra has a Quan The Am (Avalokiteshvara) statue 67 m tall on a lotus base 35 m across; the pagoda grounds cover about 20 ha, work began in 2004 and it was completed in 2010 (Tuoi Tre newspaper, 12 April 2025). It is a place of worship, so dress modestly and keep quiet inside the grounds.

At that size, time at the pagoda can run longer than planned if you stroll the whole site. Decide beforehand how long to give this stop so the rest of the half day is not squeezed.

Second stop: the Marble Mountains

The Marble Mountains have caves, pagodas and stone steps. Some features, such as the lift and the caves, may charge their own tickets; ask at the ticket desk and do not count them in the car price. If someone in your group is older, travelling with young children or needs to limit climbing, say so when you send the request so the order and rest time can be arranged.

Ordering by the group’s stamina

Divide the 4–5 hours into three parts: travel between stops, time at each stop and a reserve for rests and weather. Do not add a third stop unless you are sure the reserve is still enough. If you want to reverse the order, Marble Mountains first and Son Tra second, say so from the start so it can be checked.
