That plan leaves little room. If you want a second stop in the national park, or do not want to drive back when tired, plan a night near the area from the start rather than adjusting the schedule on the day.

Phong Nha Cave is visited by boat along the Son River. The cave ticket and the boat fee are collected separately by the national park’s management and are not part of the car price; other caves in the park have their own entrances and tickets. Opening hours, ticket prices and schedules are listed differently by different sources and can change, so check the official Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park website before you travel.
