The tunnel is 6.28 km long, opened in 2005 and cuts the crossing of the range to about 10–15 minutes, against nearly an hour on the old 21 km pass road (Da Nang city portal and Vietnam News Agency). Whether the tunnel or the pass is used is confirmed for your date, depending on weather and traffic.
