Da Nang to Quy Nhon by Private Car: Plan a Same-Day Return or Split the Trip

What sets this route apart from trips around Da Nang is the distance. The Sun Travel rate table lists about 300 km and 5.0 hours each way for a car leaving Da Nang or Hoi An. Treat that as a guide: real time changes with the departure hour, the pickup point and how often you stop.

A same-day return: the question is time in Quy Nhon

Adding both directions at the table figure gives about 10 hours in the car, before breaks and meals. An illustration, not a fixed schedule: leave at 05:30 and you reach Quy Nhon around 10:30; to be back in Da Nang before 21:00 you would leave Quy Nhon around 16:00. From midday on 29 April 2026 the Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon (88 km) and Hoai Nhon – Quy Nhon (70.1 km) expressway sections opened and connect with the Da Nang – Quang Ngai expressway; before that, traffic had to rejoin National Highway 1 when the expressway ended (Government Electronic Information Portal, checked on 30 September 2026). The figure in the rate table is still 5.0 hours, so ask for the expected time on your actual date instead of subtracting hours yourself.

Cars can enter the gates of hotels and resorts to pick up and drop off. When you send a request, give the full name and address of the property in Quy Nhon and your expected check-in time so the drop-off fits the property’s schedule.
